

NATE TYLER WINS THE 2005 AZ-HI-AZ-I-AM AIR SHOW PRO DIVISION! 30 competitors duked it out for the title, money and a grip of prizes from ...LOST, Az-hi-az-I-aM , Utopia Optics, Poor Boy, Fat Tire Ale, and Island Style.

The Formatt: Top two airs count, 30 min heats.
8:30 Am: People start showing up for the event (scheduled for 9:30-10 a.m. start) Waves look fun, there is some fog making it hard at times to see.
10:30 a.m First heat "Amature air heat 1" hits the water for a 30 min final. Some serious shredding was going on and Whittaker narrowly squeaks by J.Parsons for the win...
11:00-2:p.m. Pro heats go on for 30 min each, the top Performer from 3 separate semi final heats automatically advance to the final (D-Ray, Ryan C. and Eric S. make the final cut.).

2:30 p.m. Death Match heat: Nate Tyler, Ryan Blackburn, Dennis Rizzo, Tommy Maury and Trever Hischer have to battle it out for the 3 slots left in the final... Everyone is going for broke, top two airs scored.. Nate Tyler advances along with Dennis Rizzo and John Wildfong.

2:45p.m. The Final: ...There were some insane launch sections that kept the finalists flying for the entire 30 min final. The fog lifted and Nate Tyler was dominating, going higher than the rest of the pack, Nate gets 1st place!...John Wildfong was blowing up, big airs in some critical sections and ended up with a solid 2nd place...Ryan Carlson (3RD PLACE) was throwin down some phat frontside 3's that kept him above Dennis Rizzo who had a couple clean airs and ended up getting 4th Place. D-Ray and Eric both scored at least one good air in the final, but couldn't find the butter at the end of the tunnel....

3:00 p.m. Awards in the Sand Spit Parking lot after party at Pizza Port in Morro Bay with the Crew from SUrf Tech....THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO SHOWED UP AND MADE THE AIR SHOW A SUCCESS!!
